The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) operates one of the largest public transport systems in India, connecting millions of passengers daily across urban, semi-urban, and rural areas. However, their existing online ticket booking website has long been criticized for its outdated design, poor usability, and lack of accessibility. This redesign project aims to reimagine the TNSTC digital experience to make it simple, modern, and user-friendly.

Understanding the Problem
Before initiating the redesign process, it was essential to identify the key pain points of the existing TNSTC website. Through user research, online research, competitor analysis, interviews, and usability tests, we discovered several critical issues in terms of design
Complex Navigation : Confusing menus and lack of clear hierarchy make it difficult to find routes, schedules, or booking options.
Outdated UI : Old-fashioned design, cluttered interface, and poor use of visuals reduce user trust and engagement.
Slow and Non-Responsive Design : Website is not optimized for mobile devices, making it inconvenient for on-the-go bookings.
Inefficient Booking Flow : Multiple unnecessary steps during ticket booking, with unclear error messages and form validations.
Poor Accessibility : Limited language support, lack of contrast, and no support for differently-abled users.
Limited Information Transparency : Lack of real-time bus tracking, seat availability visualization, or fare clarity.
